D. Daniel Gibson

One of the founding members of Gibson & Sheen, PLLC, Daniel Gibson has been diligently providing legal services on behalf of his clients since 2004. Born and raised in Tulia, Texas, Daniel’s roots in rural Texas have shaped his approach to law and his dedication to serving his community. He attended Wayland Baptist University, where in 2001 he graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in English before his time at Texas Tech University School of Law.
Daniel’s legal practice spans various areas, including corporate litigation, general corporate governance, matters before administrative and regulatory agencies, real estate, employment, and contract law. His deep understanding of rural issues and his experience working with many of the state’s Telephone and Electric Cooperatives have made him a trusted advisor to clients across Texas.
Throughout his career, Daniel has been actively involved in local, state, and national initiatives to advocate for his clients’ interests. He has served as chairman of the legal committee for a national trade association, acted as general counsel for a statewide association, and been recognized as a Texas Bar Fellow. Additionally, his contributions to community organizations like the Cattle Baron’s Ball have further solidified his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the courtroom.
Outside of his legal practice, Daniel cherishes spending time with his family. He is married to Erin, a professor at Texas Tech University School of Nursing, and together they have two children, Bryson and Lainey. As members of First Baptist Church, the Gibson family actively participates in various community events and supports their children’s activities.
Thomas D. Sheen

Tommy Sheen is a dedicated advocate for clients throughout West Texas, with a lifelong commitment to serving his community. Born and raised in Odessa, Texas, Tommy’s roots run deep in the region he proudly calls home.
After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Finance from the Rawls School of Business in 2002, Tommy pursued his passion for law at St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio. In 2005, he earned his law degree and returned to West Texas to begin his legal career.
Tommy’s early career involved representing local businesses and individuals in a variety of legal matters, including contract disputes, personal injury cases, property matters, and estate litigation. His dedication to the legal profession and his community led him to serve as Secretary and President of the Midland County Young Lawyers Association, as well as an organizer of the annual Evening with the Judges event. Tommy has also represented multinational oilfield companies, interstate trucking companies, and national insurance companies in complex personal injury litigation.
Tommy currently enjoys the high distinctions of an AV rating and Silver Client Champion as determined by his clients and peers and issued by Martindale. Tommy also serves as a nominating chair for the Texas Bar Foundation, Texas Bar Fellows, and is a board member for the Lubbock Area Bar Association.
In addition to assisting his clients, Tommy enjoys spending time with his wife Stefani, daughter Sydney and son Davis. His family is active in their church and travel baseball. Tommy is also a lifelong fiddle and guitar player.
Carter Bowers

Carter Bowers is a proud third-generation attorney hailing from the vibrant community of Lubbock, Texas. With a deep-rooted connection to his hometown, Carter is dedicated to serving the legal needs of individuals and businesses throughout West Texas and the Permian Basin.
His diverse practice encompasses a wide range of areas, including general civil litigation, probate, estate planning, real estate, business representation, commercial litigation, business entity formation, contested probates and estates, fiduciary litigation, guardianship law, and personal injury matters.
Carter’s academic journey began at Texas Tech University, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, earning honors, and a Minor in Political Science. He continued his academic excellence at Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating summa cum laude in May 2016. His outstanding academic achievements led to his election to the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Following law school, Carter embarked on a legal career distinguished by a commitment to excellence and service. He commenced his professional journey as a briefing attorney for United States Magistrate Judge D. Gordon Bryant, Jr., where he gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of the legal system.
Carter’s passion for the legal profession is evident in his active involvement in professional organizations. He is a proud member of the State Bar of Texas, the Lubbock Bar Association, and the Lubbock County Young Lawyers Association. Additionally, his commitment to excellence has been acknowledged through his election as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
True to his West Texan roots and allegiance to his alma mater, Carter remains deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve his community and clients in West Texas, the Permian Basin, and beyond. With a steadfast dedication to integrity, expertise, and client-centered representation, Carter looks forward to continuing his legal journey, advocating for the rights and interests of those he serves.
